IBM missed Q2 revenue estimates, largely because enterprise customers are rapidly shifting their budgets. Buyers are prioritizing core AI infrastructure, servers, and memory over traditional software and consulting engagements.


Before we go any further, though, we need to highlight a blindingly obvious fact: Mainframe revenue is cyclical.
